01Acceptance and eligibility
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to LearnXia’s mobile application, website, learning tools, tutor marketplace, parent features and related services (together, the “Services”). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms. If you are under the age at which you can provide consent on your own, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms for you where required by law.
02Accounts and roles
You agree to provide accurate information, select the correct role and keep your details current. You are responsible for protecting your password and one-time codes and for activity conducted through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
Student, parent or guardian, and tutor roles have different permissions. You must not misrepresent your identity, age, qualifications, relationship to a learner or authority to act for another person.
03Learning and AI services
LearnXia provides study planning, quizzes, past-paper practice, progress tools and AI-assisted learning features. Educational content and AI outputs are provided to support learning; they are not a guarantee of examination performance, grades, admission or professional qualification.
AI-generated explanations, questions and summaries may contain errors. You should verify important information against teachers, official syllabi and reliable source materials. You must not use the Services to cheat, impersonate another learner or submit generated content in breach of school or examination rules.
04Tutor marketplace and sessions
LearnXia helps students and parents discover tutors, publish learning requests, receive offers, schedule sessions, communicate and leave reviews. Tutors are responsible for the accuracy of their profiles, qualifications, availability, pricing and teaching services.
Verification features are designed to improve trust but do not guarantee a tutor’s suitability, availability, conduct or a particular academic outcome. Users should review tutor profiles, pricing and session details before confirming a booking. LearnXia may investigate reports and restrict accounts where safety or integrity concerns arise.
05Parent and guardian features
Parents or guardians may connect to learners and receive permitted access to progress, requests, offers, sessions, payments and updates. You may use these features only for a child or learner for whom you have appropriate authority.
Parent controls must be used lawfully and respectfully. LearnXia may limit access to certain communications or information to protect privacy, safety and the rights of learners and other users.
06Payments, subscriptions and refunds
Some learning content, AI usage, tutoring sessions or features require payment. Prices, taxes, billing periods and included features are shown before purchase. Subscription purchases may be processed by an app store, payment provider or participating mobile network operator and may also be subject to that provider’s terms.
Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled through the applicable purchase provider before renewal. Unless required by law or stated in a specific offer, fees already paid are non-refundable. Tutor-session cancellation or refund eligibility may depend on the booking status and the cancellation terms shown for that transaction.
07Acceptable use and safety
You must not use LearnXia to harass, exploit or endanger another person; share unlawful, abusive, deceptive or infringing material; bypass access or usage limits; interfere with security; scrape or copy the Services at scale; distribute malware; manipulate reviews or payments; or use another person’s account without permission.
Messages and uploads must remain appropriate to the educational purpose of the Services. Use the in-app reporting options or contact us if you encounter unsafe behaviour. In an emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency service.
08Content and intellectual property
LearnXia and its licensors own the Services, brand, software, interface and platform content, except for content supplied by users or third parties. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Services for their intended educational purpose.
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant LearnXia a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, reproduce and display that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure and improve the Services and provide the features you request. You must have the rights needed to upload or share any content.
09Availability and changes
We work to keep LearnXia reliable, but the Services may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, connectivity, third-party services or events outside our control. Features, plan limits and supported content may change over time. Where a material change affects a paid plan, we will provide notice as required by law.
10Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Services are provided on an “as available” basis without guarantees that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, LearnXia will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of data, lost opportunity or academic outcome arising from use of the Services. Our aggregate liability for a claim relating to a paid Service will not exceed the amount you paid LearnXia for that Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
11Suspension and termination
You may stop using LearnXia or request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access, remove content or limit features where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate a breach, comply with law, prevent fraud or enforce these Terms. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to contact us.
Terms that by their nature should continue after termination—including payment obligations, intellectual property, disclaimers and limitations—will survive.
